Camila Delphim

Samba de Gafieira

Camila Delphim was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She has over 26 years of experience in the art of dance. She is an internationally recognized artist (China, Germany, Switzerland, and Portugal), celebrated for her versatility and unique methodology that goes beyond technical dance training, reaching into her students’ personal development.

As a Samba de Gafieira instructor, she is known for her refined technique, boundless, engaging energy, and her ability to share the joy of Samba. She is a widely recognized reference for both Samba de Gafieira and Samba no Pé. In addition to her work as a Samba de Gafieira dancer and instructor, she is also a Brazilian Stage Tango Champion and the first Brazilian to reach the finals of the Tango World Championship in Buenos Aires in this category, having achieved this feat in both 2016 and 2017. Camila stands out for blending the Brazilian roots of Samaba with the elegance and discipline of Tango.

She believes that each body carries its own history, experiences, and unique ways of moving. That’s why she rejects fixed formulas and instead invites each student to discover their own dance — one that emerges from within, honoring their personal limits, desires, and potential. Her classes go far beyond teaching steps; they promote a sensitive and profound exploration of movement.

This will be Camila’s second time teaching for TIPDI and we can’t wait for you to enjoy her classes!
