Elizabeth Douglas

Ballet

Elizabeth Douglas has been with TIPDI since our very first event ten years ago and is one of our most popular instructors. The feedback we receive about her the most is, “I thought ballet would be scary! She makes it super fun!”

Elizabeth Douglas received her B.A. in Dance from the University of Buffalo, and her Masters in Dance Education from New York University. She is also certified in Dance K-12, Elementary Labanotation, and Level One Somatics. Elizabeth has been affiliated with several dance, arts outreach, and dance theater organizations in the Syracuse, NY and New York City areas. She is currently on staff at several of New York’s most prominent dance centers, including Harkness Dance Center/92nd Street Y, Steps on Broadway, Chen Dance Center, In Grandma’s Attic, Education in Dance, and Intercataction. As a dancer, Elizabeth has worked with noted choreographers Douglas Dunn and Alwin Nikolais.

If you’ve always wanted to try Ballet, or have been away from Ballet for an extended period and want to return, classes with Elizabeth are magical.
