Isaac Douglas was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and is currently based in Germany, where he teaches Samba de Gafieira and Samba no Pé with his own organization, Felicidança, while also touring to teach regularly all around Europe. He is known for his is charisma, authenticity, and joy when teaching Samba and has been steadily growing the Samba de Gafieira scene in Germany for the last several years.

He teamed up with Camila Delphim in 2024, and they have since gone on to teach and perform together at severals festivals in Europe and abroad. As a teaching pair, their classes are known for being “serious fun”, and their refined, joyful demos and improv performances have made them favorites to watch.

This will be Isaac’s first year with TIPDI and we are super happy to have him!
