Laura Saez is originally from Valencia, Spain, and is currently based in Lisbon, Portugal. She fell in love with Forró in Valencia in 2018 and decided to spend a month in Lisbon, learning Portuguese so as to better understand the music she adored. Once in Lisbon, she began attending classes at Espaço Baiao regularly.

She continued training in Forró after returning to Valencia and then transitioned into teaching group classes. In 2021, she returned to Portugal to continue studying Forró intensively and subsequently began assisting classes at Espaço Baiao. Fast forward to 2026, and she is now a regular professor at Espaço Baiao as well as teaching all over Europe. She is known for her excellence with both Universitário and Roots styles. Her ability to seamlessly transition between leading and following, both as a dancer and teacher has made her immensely popular. Her classes are highly technique focused, with additional emphasis on musicality and creative democracy in the partnership. We are incredibly excited to have her at TIPDI Original this year!
